Bachelorette Weekend in Cape May, NJ

Bachelorette Weekend in Cape May, NJ

A Picture-Perfect Bachelorette Weekend in Cape May

If you’re planning a bachelorette weekend that blends fun, elegance, and juuuuuust the right amount of mischief, Cape May is the coastal gem you’ve been looking for. From winery tours to beach cruisers, tacos to trolley rides, here’s how to celebrate the bride-to-be with style and unforgettable memories.

Friday Arrival: Sunset Toasts & Chic Cocktails

Kick things off by checking into a cute beach house or boutique hotel downtown. Send me an email or a DM if you need some recs! Once settled, make your way to The Brown Room at Congress Hall. This swanky lounge with vintage charm is perfect for gathering the group for a round of signature cocktails to toast the weekend ahead. My personal favorite place to hang with the girls.

For dinner, indulge in an elevated, intimate experience at The Ebbitt Room. Known for its farm-to-table menu and refined atmosphere, it’s ideal for smaller, more elegant bachelorette parties looking for a memorable first night out. They have a Private Dining Room available if that's something that peaks your interest.

Saturday: Beach Cruisin’, Wine Sippin’ & Tacos

Start your morning with a dose of fresh air by renting bikes or surreys from Shield’s Bike Rentals. This is a great way to explore the town in a shorter time frame before the pedestrians start coming out of nowhere.

Once you’re ready for a more relaxed ride, hop on a Cape May Beach Buggy golf cart rental or book a Cape May trolley tour to cruise the historic streets in style. Great for giving the group a breezy overview of town with minimal walking.

Next, head to the Washington Street Mall for some boutique shopping. You’ll find everything from beachy jewelry and locally made candles to chic resort wear and keepsakes to remember the weekend. So many of my good friends own boutique stores on this strip, and you supporting them while also adding some timeless pieces to your home and wardrobe is so special to me!

In the afternoon, it’s time to wine down. Book tastings at one of Cape May’s nearby wineries like Willow Creek or Cape May Winery. Most spots offer outdoor seating, vineyard views, and live music on weekends—plus, they’re great for a casual charcuterie lunch and plenty of Instagram-worthy moments. If you head into West Cape May, check out Beach Plum Farm  for some great Insta-worthy photos and swing by Fish House in Cape May Point for a quick bite or cocktail!

After a quick outfit change, grab dinner at Taco Caballito. Over looking the ocean and serving up bold tacos and frozen margaritas, it’s the perfect place to laugh loud, clink glasses, and maybe take a late-night beach walk with the bride. They have a bar upstairs as well as downstairs, so don't be afraid to explore!

Sunday: Brunch & Farewell

Wrap up your weekend with a relaxed Sunday brunch (Mad Batter, Bagel Time Cafe and The Pier House are all solid picks), or grab coffee and pastries from Magic Brain to-go and head to the beach for one last toes-in-the-sand moment with the crew.

Final Tip: Let the Town Set the Pace

Cape May offers a unique blend of laid-back beach vibes and old-school charm, which makes it the perfect backdrop for a bachelorette celebration that’s equal parts fun and sophisticated. Whether you’re pedaling surreys, wine tasting in sundresses, or sipping cocktails in velvet armchairs, this seaside escape will leave the bride with memories to last a lifetime - and you'll definitely be back.
